Point-of-sale printer manufacturer Star Micronics will be joining with payment provider Paypal to unveil its new POS printing solutions. It will unveil its digital receipting service, all-in-one Bluetooth enabled printer and cash draw mobile solution mPOP at Apps World 2015 in London, according to the press release.
The digital receipting service, called AllReceipts, is designed to work independently from the retailer's POS software. It sends a digital receipt to a user's AllReceipts App on his or her phone. The receipt will also include an in-store survey and will enable retailers to acquire analytics.
The mPOP works by combining a 58 millimeter Bluetooth Thermal printer with a cash drawer to provide a solution for mobile and card payments. Due to Bluetooth connectivity, the device only requires one cable to operate.
The company will showcase other solutions including its Web-based printing solution Star WebPRNT and its all-in-one interactive communication platform star AsuraCPRNT. This hardware utilizes a processor, touchscreen, thermal printer and other optional tools such as a QR or barcode scanner. It can be utilized as a terminal or a server to make custom apps and Web content, according to the press release.
"Star prides itself on its position as a manufacturer of pioneering mPOS printing solutions," said Annette Tarlton, marketing director, Star Micronics. "With our mPOS tablet printing solutions being extensively used across retail and hospitality, Star will continue to drive and define tomorrow’s rapidly evolving mPOS marketplace. The versatility of the AsuraCPRNT and the wealth of applications possible will ensure its presence in an ever broader range and variety of environments."
Apps World 2015 will take place on Nov. 18 and 19 at the convention center ExCeL London.
