Star Micronics has introduced wireless models in the mC-Print Series, according to a press release. Using the additional ethernet port of the mC-Print31W or 21W, other devices can also become wireless, eliminating the need to connect the additional device directly to the router.
The mC-Print21W and mC-Print31W become the hubs that bring wireless connections to other needed peripherals such as payment terminals or other printers.
The solutions support dual-band (2.4GHz / 5GHz). Networks that need long-distance coverage can use 2.4GHz.
The more powerful 5GHz is designed for reducing lag and interference, especially in busy kitchens with microwaves and hardware that compete for bandwidth on a 2.4Ghz network.
