LINCOLN, Neb. - Retailers in Australia and New Zealand will soon have a new way to engage and inform customers using RFID technology. Sydney Point of Sale Products will be releasing an RFID-enabled kiosk platform for retailers, according to a news release. The solution enables a customer to select a product from a shelf and have specific information about the product displayed on the screen. Customers can also interact with the screen to drill-in and find out more information.
SPOS has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with a USA software developer, Nanonation for distribution of their software in Australia and New Zealand. SPOS will be releasing the RFID-enabled kiosk platform at Shopfit Display and Design Expo 2005. SPOS' plan is to push RFID technology beyond the back room of inventory control and into the front line of consumer interaction. The solution is based on Nanonation's software platform that controls, monitors and measures digital retailing initiatives from kiosks to dynamic signage.
