Chicago Cubs fans will soon be able to place bets during games at Wrigley Field thanks to the installation of sportsbook kiosks and betting windows, according to a wkyc.com report.
On Thursday the Cubs announced a partnership with DraftKings to install self-serve kiosks and betting windows to allow fans to bet on games while the action is going on.
The partnership marks a change in Major League Baseball's view of gambling.
Three years ago the U.S. Supreme Court allowed states to legalize sports gambling in the case of Murphy v. NCAA.
It is not known when the sportsbook will be completed since fans are not currently allowed inside Wrigley Field due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The sportsbook could be located inside the stadium or at the Cubs' "Wrigleyville" complex.
