Sports betting kiosks, which became legal in Ohio in January, are bringing new revenue, according to a saturdaydownsouth.com report.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission has approved 1,153 Type-C hosts for sports betting kiosks, including restaurants, supermarkets, bars and bowling alleys. Guests are permitted to bet $700 a week at a kiosk.
The Ohio Lottery, meanwhile, has reported 940 live sports betting kiosk host locations throughout the state and has been satisfied with the results.
Sports betting kiosks have reported $3.2 million in bets through March, netting $271,198 in revenue for proprietors and $75,473 in taxes for the state.
