HAMPTON, Va. — NASA podcast will be available at kiosks when the world's biggest space party comes to the Virginia Air & Space Center as partygoers join 198 cities in 51 countries, for "Yuri's Night," a celebration of space exploration.
Partygoers are encouraged to bring their iPods to download NASA podcasts from a number of kiosks throughout the event.
According to a news release, Yuri's Night, which is set for April 4, is an annual international celebration that commemorates two separate space-exploration milestones. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel into space, launching to orbit aboard the Vostok 3KA-2. The second milestone was the launch of the first space shuttle, the STS-1, on April 12, 1981.
