South Dakota has doubled the number of DMV kiosk locations, according to a dakotanewsnow.com report.
The kiosks allow residents to renew a driver license or ID card, renew vehicle registration, report a vehicle sale, print a seller's permit and update contact information.
Residents must have a state driver's license or ID card and a credit or debit card.
Kiosk usage in the state rose 180% from 53,069 users in 2017 to 148,483 in 2021.
