There has been an almost 100 percent rise in self-service check-in among travellers passing through OR Tambo Airport in South Africa, according to Fin24.com.
A survey by Sita found that self-service check-in grew to 17 percent of survey respondents in Johannesburg compared to 9 percent in 2009. This falls far behind the international rate of 67 percent, but travelers in South Africa report they are willing to use kiosk check-in (71 percent), Web check-in (54 percent) and mobile check-in (54 percent).
