ATLANTA — Early-stage healthcare company SoloHealth is now a top 20 semifinalist in the 2008 Forbes.com "Boost Your Business" $100,000 entrepreneurial contest.
According to a news release, SoloHealth now moves on to the second round of the contest. SoloHealth is the only self-service kiosk company to advance to the second round.
SoloHealth's EyeSite self-service vision-testing kiosk, designed for high-traffic retail and commercial locations, combines optical software with an interactive video interface to test vision. SoloHealth's kiosk enclosure is from KIOSK Information Systems. The kiosk software and digital signage is from Netkey.
"To be a top 20 finalist in the Forbes.com "Boost Your Business" contest is an incredible honor and opportunity for SoloHealth," said Bart Foster, chief executive and founder of SoloHealth. "Should we win the contest's top prize, we'll use the capital to invest and grow our business in 2009."
Online voters can place votes on Forbes' website betweeen now and Sept. 30.
