Solar powered parking kiosks coming to Philadelphia

Motorists in Philadelphia will be able to pay for parking by entering their license plate number and parking zone number on solar powered parking kiosks, according to a cbslocal.com report.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority will begin installing the pay-by-plate kiosks in Center City on Oct. 15. The authority plans to replace all existing coin-operated meters.
