LAS VEGAS - The Society for Self-Service Technology Professionals, or S3TP, a new organization specifically focused on ensuring successful deployments for end-users was officially launched during KioskCom.com 2005. According to a news release, S3TP will serve as the advisor and advocate for deployers and end-users of kiosks and interactive self-service technology across all industries worldwide.
"There is a lot of synergy between S3TP and KioskCom.com and we are thrilled to announce this new society that will be dedicated to promoting the acceptance, implementation and best practices of kiosks and interactive self-service technology," said Lawrence Dvorchik, executive director of S3TP. "We are also pleased to announce that all qualified attendees at KioskCom.com 2005 will be granted a charter membership to S3TP."
"We are keeping the Membership in this society strictly to deployers and end-users of kiosks and interactive self-service technology such as retailers, hospitals, government agencies, hotels, etc.," added Dvorchik. "We will provide research and networking opportunities to technology service providers. This will allow us to ensure that members receive the most credible research on the technology and services that are needed for successful kiosk and self-service technology deployments."
