The Center for Social Justice at the Western New England School of Law will provide 11 kiosks to help residents with legal services in Springfield, Massachusetts, according to a masslive.com report.
The center on Monday demonstrated one of the kiosks which enables residents to access information about issues such as domestic violence, homelessness, eviction, finding providers of free legal services and printing out forms and papers.
In some locations, individuals will be able join online meetings and virtual court sessions.
The creation of the $1,000 kiosks is part of the center's Consumer Debt Initiative developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MassMutual Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to the Western New England University's Center of Social Justice to cover its costs.
