SISYS controls visitor access at four UK aerospace sites
September 13, 2010
Aerospace firm BAE Systems made security kiosks an integral part of its system managing the 87,000 visitors to its four Military Air Solutions (MAS) sites in the United Kingdom, according toSecurityPark.net. BAE hired SISYS to implement its Visitor Express Security Edition (VESE) at the sites. The VESE solution included the installation of 10 image capture terminals and 13 enquiry terminals, alongside two self-service terminals. The terminals process passes for visitors, and store searchable and displayable information and images. The self-service Fast Track kiosks verify if the visitor is expected, print out the pass and email the host announcing the visitor's arrival.
