Singapore Post (SingPost) has launched a residential posting box trial aimed at improving mail and parcel convenience for residents while expanding its national delivery network, according to a press release.

The SingPost@MyBlock initiative allows residents to post or return mail directly at their letterbox nests through dedicated slots or additional boxes marked within housing estates. The pilot, officiated Sunday by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, begins with 27 blocks in Punggol Northshore and will expand to 226 blocks across five districts by December. A successful trial could lead to an island-wide rollout covering about 21,000 residential blocks.

"We are leveraging every touchpoint we have — from the letterbox nest in the heartland to expanding our partnerships — to serve both the postal sector and the growing e-commerce market," Neo Su Yin, SingPost's group chief operating officer, said in the release.

The trial is part of SingPost's broader strategy to expand service access points to more than 2,500 nationwide, ensuring that 80% of Singapore's population can reach a SingPost touchpoint within 10 minutes.

SingPost also announced an integration with Pick Network Pte. Ltd., incorporating its 1,084 parcel lockers across housing estates, community centers and transport hubs into SingPost's last-mile delivery system. The partnership enables customers, including those shopping on Lazada, to select Pick lockers as delivery destinations.

The company said the combined initiatives strengthen Singapore's e-commerce logistics infrastructure, offering greater flexibility and 24/7 access for parcel collection while maintaining operational sustainability.
