Residents of Singapore will be able to access a household recycling box at vending machines installed from March 19 to April 30 as part of the country's recycling efforts, according to a report from mothership.

Residents will access the box, known as Bloobox, by scanning the barcode of their SingPass, Digital NRIC or FIN card, or by keying in their FIN or NRIC number.

The machines will be available at 140 locations.

The box can hold 5kg of e-waste, glass recyclables, plastic or paper.

The recyclables can be emptied at recycling chutes or bins.
