Singapore residents will be able to replace faulty contact tracing tokens or tokens out of power at TT token replacement vending machines, thanks to the Digital Government Group's plan to reduce manned token booths at shopping malls and community centers in partnership with Smart Nation Singapore, according to a mothership report.
The machines will replace tokens collected more than 60 days prior.
Those who collected their tokens less than 60 days prior must visit a manned token booth to replace tokens.
The machines will be rolled out to more than 40 malls and all 108 community centers starting today and Monday, respectively.
The 17 token replacement booths at malls will close on Monday.
The contact tracing tokens are for residents who do not use the contact tracing app. Both the token and the app gather users' Bluetooth proximity data.
