Singapore DVD kiosk offers some movies free

MediaCorp Pte Ltd.: Play!, which sells and rents movies via automated kiosks, is offering free DVD rentals on some older titles. Each machine features a rotation of 10 free titles at a time, and customers can take home one per day. The company created the program to attract people who might not want to pay for movies. "They might not want to spend so much for entertainment — but why should they be deprived of it?" said spokeswoman Gina Tan. "Wouldn't it be great to have young kids growing up on movies and developing discerning tastes in film?"
