Singapore bank installs solar powered ATMs

DBS Bank Ltd., a Singapore bank, has installed the country's first solar powered ATM kiosk, according to a press release.

Thirty-percent of the Ang Mo Kio ATM kiosk's annual energy consumption comes from self-generated solar energy from the solar panels.

The stand-alone kiosk has existed since the 1990s but was recently refreshed with solar panels on the roof and decals on the sides.

Customers can view a solar energy dashboard which displays the energy generated in real-time at the ATM.
