Sim Local brings eSIM kiosks to Heathrow

Sim Local, a leading eSIM and travel SIM provider, has launched self-service eSIM kiosks at Heathrow Airport, according to a Mobilenews report. The kiosks, located in all four terminals, allow travelers to easily purchase data plans for their destinations.
"This trial enables us to take our strategy to the next level, targeting key outbound long-haul travel markets from Heathrow," Ian Rankin, chief commercial officer at Sim Local, told the news outlet. "Should the trial be successful, we hope to deploy many more kiosk locations across Heathrow and other key UK airports."
The kiosks offer a convenient way for travelers to access affordable data plans, eliminating the need to purchase a physical SIM card. With the growing popularity of eSIMs, Sim Local aims to expand its kiosk network to meet increasing demand.
