Signifi launches high capacity DVD rental kiosk in US

August 23, 2010

Mississauga, Ontario-based Signifi Solutions Inc. announced the launch of its best-in-class entertainment kiosks to the U.S. market. Tested over the past 18 months in multiple Canadian locations, including Sobey's grocery stores, the kiosks provide a much improved customer experience in the fast-growing market for automated rental of DVD and Blu-ray movies and games.

Most notable among the features Signifi offers are much faster transaction times and significantly higher disc capacity.

"Our research indicated that the two biggest complaints among users of existing DVD rental machines were a general lack of selection and slow speed for rental and return of discs" said Shamira Jaffer, CEO of Signifi. "With our lightning speed of return and retrieval, and our capacity to hold 1,400 discs, we have made major improvements over anything available in the market today."

The sophisticated robotics and LCD advertising screen are attractively housed in a sleek, space-efficient design that can be customized as desired to support any brand. It's a minimal overhead, maximum ROI solution that is rapidly becoming the market favorite on an international scale.

Signifi has evolved from a technology development firm to a driver of self-serve retail solutions. Signifi is an IBM Retail Partner, and integrates the power of the Esprida platform into all its enterprise-wide solutions for real-time reporting and advanced analytics.

Signifi plans to open a Chicago-area office during the third quarter of 2010.
