Sheetz receives grants for EV charging stations in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has awarded six grants to Sheetz to expand EV charging stations as well as another six to individual locations, according to a pennlive.com report.

The department awarded $33.8 million for 54 projects in 35 counties as under the National Vehicle Electric Infrastructure program, according to the company.

Sheetz currently has 683 EV charges at 98 stores after installing its first station in 2012. The company surpassed a total of 2 million charging sessions this past spring.
