SemaConnect, an electric vehicle services provider in the North American commercial property market, is debuting a solution for public retail EV charging: the Series 8 charging station, according to a press release. Powered by an open network platform, the Series 8 features a credit card reader and other payment options, providing access to all EV drivers regardless of charging network affiliation.

The Series 8 Level 2 charging station features interactive LED lights. an all-new credit card reader and NFC capabilites to make public charging easier for drivers and an onboard camera for future applications.
