CYPRESS, Calif. - The Texas Association of Local Health Officials has deployed TouchVision self-service technology to deliver health education directly to patients. Patients can receive healthcare educational information through interactive kiosks located at 13 public health departments in Texas.
Greg Roche, TouchVision president, said, "Consumer directed healthcare is considered by many to be a solution to problems faced in healthcare delivery. In order to realize the benefits of consumer directed healthcare, the consumer needs to be better equipped to understand healthcare issues and make informed decisions. We are quite proud that our TouchVision technology is playing a role in improving access to healthcare for patients while enabling healthcare providers to focus on healing."
TouchVision's VisMed software suite includes Concierge for content management, PathFinder for facility wayfinding and directions, Surveyor for satisfaction surveys, Presenter for digital sign management, DrFinder for physician referrals, CareMail for patient e-cards, Educator for health education, Announcer for event calendars, and Internet access for a variety of patient/provider interaction.
