Self-service kiosks will soon be available in all village offices within the Chathannur Assembly constituency in Kerala, India, as part of the Janapaksham Chathannur project, according to a report by The Hindu. MLA G.S. Jayalal explained that the kiosks will allow citizens to independently access any online service provided by the State government.

"This would enable citizens to access any online service provided by the State government, independently and without assistance, by visiting any village office within the Chathannur constituency during office hours," Jayalal told the news outlet.

The kiosks will offer access to services such as certificate issuance, land and building tax payments, birth and death registration, bill payments, and treasury services, all through a user-friendly touch screen interface. The project aims to simplify access to government services and promote digital literacy. A pilot program will be launched at the Meenad village office, with training provided to staff and the public.
