Self-service beer kiosk entrepreneurs seek additional funding

May 2, 2019

EBar Initiatives, a provider of self-service kiosks that can dispense beer in less than 30 seconds, is seeking to raise at least £175,000 ($228,246) through a crowdfunding campaign after securing £228,000 ($297,000) from private investors, according to The Press and Journal.

EBar, based in Aberdeen, Scotland, has successfully tested its automated, self-service drink kiosks at sporting events, most recently at Twickenham in the Rugby Six Nations tournament.

Sam Pettipher, managing director, and fellow director Nick Beeson, both hold post-graduate business administration degrees from Robert Gordon University. They launched EBar in late 2016.

The money will be used to refine and build more EBar units.
