Self-boarding gates by Vision-Box deployed at Riga Int'l Airport

Adding to the growing number of airports implementing self-boarding gates, Riga International Airport in Latvia has deployed the the vb i-match ABC eGate from Vision-Box.

According to a press release from Vision-Box, the gates are able to validate both a printed boarding pass and a boarding pass displayed on a mobile device. They are connected to the Flight Information Systems, which enables the self-boarding gates to validate the boarding pass and check that the traveler is entering the correct boarding area, at the appropriate time.

"This project proved to be a very successful challenge in which Vision-Box demonstrated its ability to deliver and meet the Riga International Airport expectations," said Miguel Leitmann, SVP of Vision-Box.
