Seiko Instruments USA Inc. has announced an addition to its Qaliber receipt printer line that the company said offers the smallest footprint in its class.
The new Qaliber Lite model RP-D10 is based on a cube design that frees up real estate at the point-of-sale, according to a company press release. In addition, each RP-D10 supports both front- and top-access control, allowing users the flexibility to slide a printer under the counter, thus further simplifying integration, the release said.
With print speeds of almost 8 inches per second, the RP-D10 accelerates transactions and enables users to add data such as coupons, loyalty program information and extended warranty information.
"This new Lite model printer truly resonates with the channel because it is designed to help overcome real-world business and technical challenges at the POS," Kaz Onishi, VP of Seiko Instruments USA, said in the announcement. "It is smaller in size, offers increased flexibility, has increased performance, and is aesthetically pleasing — all at a value-driven price point."
