Redondo Beach, CA--SeePoint Technology, a leading provider of customer-facing, interactive computer appliances, today unveiled the newest addition to its line of highly configurable and flexible kiosks systems - an industrial grade touch computer with 18 inch display. The release of the 18 inch systems establishes SeePoint as the only manufacturer of 18 inch kiosks where the display is integrated into a slim, space-saving and aesthetic enclosure instead of a bulky and unwieldy cabinet.
SeePoint systems with the 18 inch display provide several unique advantages. The larger display is excellent for applications:
·
Where groups or multiple users will access the system at the same time because the 80° x 80° x 80° viewing angle of the 18 inch panel provides a crystal clear display from almost any position·
That have many visual elements because the larger format displays more information and increases the ability to touch and activate the elements·
For self service where there is a desire to display information and advertising simultaneously·
That will be accessed by the disabled because the larger display is much easier to use, especially for sight impaired or less dexterous individuals.SeePoint recommends the 18 inch kiosk units for specialty retail programs, lobby systems, maps and guides, tradeshows and especially governmental applications. Already SeePoint's 18 inch systems are slated for use by the court system and for specialized military applications. "The larger, 18 inch screen size is so crystal clear that people can't help but take notice of and, more importantly, make real use of the kiosk systems," said Jonathan Arfin, President and CTO of SeePoint.
The 18 inch display, touch screen and industrial grade computer, which are tightly integrated into a slim but vandal resistant enclosure, mates with all of the company's existing stands and peripherals, making for a powerful array of configurations. SeePoint now offers an 18 inch countertop model perfect for installations where space is at a premium, a podium style model that can readily be shipped with a variety of printers (3.5 inch, 8.5 inch and ticket formats) plus an assortment of wall mount, rolling and pole mount options.
SeePoint developed the 18 inch model in anticipation of price reductions of the larger format displays. Thus, these systems are a cost effective option for users that need the 18 inch panel. Customers can also consider using a mix of 18 and 15 inch systems for a rollout to get the visual impact of the 18 inch kiosks, the cost savings of the 15 inch kiosks, a consistent look and feel and also identical technical, functional and operational abilities.
As will all SeePoint kiosks, the 18 inch systems may be delivered in brushed aluminum, custom painted and silk-screened to create or match a particular décor or theme or to reinforce a brand or image. The 18 inch systems also rely on the same industrial architecture as SeePoint's 15 inch systems, allowing for easy install, transport and servicing.
