Secure Innovation introduced a2m active and a2m passive solutions for ATM cash protection. A2m active offers an end-to-end protection of cash for ATMs, while a2m passive prevents explosive attacks, according to a press release.
The a2m passive can be inserted into the lid of an ATM cassette with provided ink or glue. If someone tries to blow up the ATM, the solution will activate, covering the bank notes in permanent ink. Operators can also add Crimetag to allow authorities to track, trace and convict criminals.
"Our customers know the threats facing their ATM locations more than we do, and some will choose a passive system because it is cost effective and can be rapidly deployed to stop an overwhelming wave of explosive attacks. Longer-term customers may require integrated end-to-end protection, which is where the intelligent 'a2m active' solution comes in," Tony Westington, managing director for Secure Innovation, said in the release. "The launch of 'a2m passive' however, marks another milestone in our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology for the protection of people and cash."
