TORONTO - Workers at selected TrizecHahn Office Properties Inc. buildings around the United States will soon add information kiosks to their workday routines. TrizecHahn has launched plans to deploy 58 kiosks in 33 of its office buildings in the U.S.
Based in Toronto, TrizecHahn owns 76 office buildings in the U.S. and plan to eventually install the eight-foot-tall kiosks in all its properties.
The kiosks, which TrizecHahn are deploying in conjunction with Civia Media Group, will feature news headlines, weather, building information, and tips on shopping and dining options in the area surrounding the building. ABC-TV affiliates will provide the news content for the kiosks.
TrizecHahn plans its initial deployment for buildings in cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C., according to the Wall Street Journal.
The kiosks, which cost between $10,000 and $15,000 according to the Journal, will generate revenue through advertising revenue. TrizecHahn is providing lobby space and communications lines for Civia, and will receive 20 percent of revenue past a certain threshold, though company officials would not divulge that amount to the Journal.
