San Diego to offer 50 digital Wi-Fi kiosks downtown

Residents and visitors in San Diego will be able to access Wi-Fi connectivity and information about local events and activities at 50 digital kiosks downtown, according to a 10news.com report.

Construction is expected to begin in six to nine months.

The kiosks' content will connect directly to its Get it Done app.

The kiosks are expected to bring more than $14 million to San Diego's general fund over the next 10 years through ads and commissioned art.

Critics have complained that the kiosks be an eyesore.
