San Diego County intros free naloxone vending machine

Persons in need of relief from an opioid overdose can get a free naloxone kit at the McAlister South Bay Regional Recovery Center in Chula Vista, California, according to the San Diego County website.

It is not necessary to be a member of the center.

The machine is part of the county's harm reduction plan and the first of several other machines scheduled to be installed across the region.
