San Antonio IT firm introduces temperature detection kiosk

Rx Technology, a San Antonio, Texas based company that provides managed IT services, has introduced a kiosk with thermal cameras that detect body temperatures, according to the company's website.

The cameras are able to detect temperature close to 0.3 degrees Celsius and can detect up to 40 targeted temperatures at once at a distance of three to five meters.

As long as there is visible light at the location, the camera allows thermal imaging to monitor body temperature. In addition, a face recognition algorithm measures the temperature of a person's face.
