Radiant Systems joins forces with native firm to pump up business in Spain

March 14, 2004

With the help of Murcia, Spain-based 4GL, Radiant Systems Inc. plans to fuel some significant growth in the Spanish retail petroleum market.

The two companies have formalized their relationship with a letter of intent. They expect to provide a market-leading solution that will offer the 3,500 petrol stations in Spain's dealer network innovative store technology to enhance customer service and boost revenue growth, according to a press release.

"We have strong relationships with the major oil companies in Spain, but we're also focused on pursuing opportunities across the broader market of dealers and independents," said Mark Schoen, president of Radiant's Global Petroleum and Convenience Retail Division, in a release.

"By pursuing a partnership with a strong local company like 4GL, we can be in a strong position to penetrate that market," Schoen said. "4GL's reputation for entrepreneurship and excellent service makes them a great potential partner in our plans,"

Atlanta-based Radiant provides point-of-sale, self-service kiosk, and back-office technology to its customers in the foodservice, petroleum and convenience store, and cinema industries. It has deployed its solutions in more than 50,000 sites worldwide.

4GL is involved in the computerization and automation of petrol stations, gas cylinder dealers, garages and hotels.
