March 21, 2004

Radiant Systems Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire "substantially all of the assets" of e-needs Inc., a leading provider of home-office film management, booking and scheduling, according to a company press release.

The acquisition will complement Radiant's Entertainment Division, which focuses on theater operations and how they can improve with hardware and software products. The company manufactures ticketing and concession kiosks for the theater sector."We're delivering on our promise to bring the next level of innovative solutions to the industry," said Chris Lybeer, president of the Radiant Entertainment Division. "E-needs technology delivers advanced capabilities that exhibitors require for film management."

"With this acquisition, our customers and the industry will have an end-to-end solution that provides real-time management of both the ticketing and foodservice aspects of the exhibition business," added Nathan Haveles, chief operating officer of e-needs.The e-needs team will continue to operate in Irvine, California, under its current management, led by Haveles.

At ShoWest in Las Vegas this month, Radiant will exhibit e-needs technology along with field-proven enterprise modules for advanced concession and foodservice management. These modules will complete Radiant's suite for managing all elements of a theater operation from a single home-office platform.

In addition, Radiant will demonstrate client-tested innovations such as concession sales at the kiosk, outdoor kiosk hardware, new indoor kiosk hardware, and the new Radiant P1210 POS terminal with a low price point.
