ATLANTA -- Radiant Systems Inc. has introduced the Radiant Outdoor Ticketing Kiosk to offer cinema operators an innovative and cost-effective ways to provide convenient, fast ticketing to patrons before they enter the theater lobby.
The environmentally hardened, wireless self-service kiosk based on Intel processors enables ticketing anywhere, from the gathering area outside the lobby to mall entrances or sidewalks leading from the parking lot, according to a news release.
Radiant developed the latest addition to its industry-leading family of self-service kiosk solutions in response to cinema operators' desire to drive revenue opportunities at the kiosk and improve guest service by eliminating frustrating lines.
The kiosk's enclosure, touchscreen and electronics are designed for durability and usability, even with direct exposure of the kiosk to sun, rain and snow. Easy on-site service and management are enabled by quick-replace hardware, a ticket-storage area, and LED indicators and on-screen messaging for errors such as low ticket stock. These features help ensure that kiosks placed in high-profile locations deliver maximum uptime for patrons.
The kiosk can be floor or wall-mounted. The unit features bezel attachment points that allow exhibitors to customize kiosks to fit the theme of the installation environment.
