Queen’s photo on McDonald’s kiosk was altered

A photo showing a memorial to Queen Elizabeth II on a McDonald's ordering kiosk is not authentic, according to a Reuters report.

The original version of the image that had been shared on social media ran in an article published in 2017 and did not include a memorial photo of the queen. A spokesperson for McDonald's UK confirmed that the photograph was not authentic.

A Facebook user shared a picture of a McDonald's kiosk featuring a black and white image of the queen with the text: "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 – 2022".
