SEATTLE - ActiveLight, Inc., a value-added distributor of advanced displays and dynamic signage solutions, and Projector Wholesale Supply (PWS), a specialty distributor of professional projection solutions, have combined products and services.
According to a news release, both companies will now operate under the ActiveLight brand.
"Combining the efforts of PWS and ActiveLight is simply a smart business move for both companies, enabling us to more effectively respond to the increasing demand for integrated solutions from a range of industries," said Herb Myers, CEO of both ActiveLight, Inc. and Projector Wholesale Supply.
The consolidation comes at a time when the annual growth rates for digital signage technology deployment are projected to grow from 14 percent to 47 percent (depending on the application) over the next five years, according to a 2004 study by Weinstock Media Analysis.
ActiveLight and PWS customers will experience no change in service. Employees of both companies will be retained in existing or similar roles within the new operating structure. Both companies are based in Poulsbo, Wash., near Seattle, and operate as part of the Powder Hill Group.
Brad Gleeson will continue to operate as president of ActiveLight. Jill Miller, former president of PWS, will work directly with Gleeson and the executive team as executive vice president.
