Long Island Business News: Protocall Technologies Inc., which makes a device used to burn computer software CDs on demand for retailers, has secured $2 million in financing to roll out a system that does the same thing with DVDs. Protocall spokeswoman Lori Teranishi said the company is in talks with "movie-content owners" about getting access to their titles and with retailers about providing on-demand movies at their locations.
Protocall makes SoftwareToGo electronic kiosks that burn software on demand at retailers like CompUSA.
