Payment technology provider ProfitStars has unveiled Alogent Interactive Capture, a payment solution for Tier 1 financial institutions to support self-service platforms.

Alogent Interactive Capture aids current and future self-service kiosks, tablets, regional processing centers, universal associate applications and branch teller stations, the company said. The centralized infrastructure supporting self-service solutions and points of contact enables reporting, fraud and duplicate detection, risk mitigation and integration capabilities. Alogent can be configured to work with ATMs and kiosks outside of branch systems.

"This is the next evolutionary step in branch capture. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel; rather, we have designed an engine with the necessary infrastructure and flexibility that meets our industry's evolving demands," said Russ Bernthal, president of ProfitStars, in a company announcement. "There are many opinions about what the future of the branch and self-service banking will require; Alogent Interactive Capture positions Tier 1 financial institutions to power their vision of the branch of the future and make easy adjustments for years to come."
