Private equity firm invests in 365 Retail Markets

Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in the media, communications, education, software and services industries, has made a "majority" investment in 365 Retail Markets, a micro market provider, according to a press release.

Providence will partner with current investor McCarthy Capital and the company's management team to advance the unattended retail market industry. CEO and founder Joe Hessling will continue to lead 365 Retail Markets and maintain a significant ownership stake.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
