Popshap, an interactive digital solutions company based in New York City, has begun to allow trade show and conference organizers to use its body temperature and face scanning kiosk free of charge, according to a press release. In February Popshap partnered with the Florida Wedding Expo to make the event safe for the public.

Due to the lack of power sources, Popshap deployed battery-operated kiosks.

Popshap scanned 2,500 people in just under three hours. The kiosks can scan up to 100,000 people a day. Individual guests and staff were able to get temperature checks and scanned for face masks in less than three seconds.

The company, with locations in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Israel, makes money by networking with trade show organizers, exhibitors and venue managers to whom it offers a variety of products, a company spokesperson told Kiosk Marketplace via email.

To qualify for a free kiosk, Popshap needs to be available to work the event, the spokesperson said.
