Polish vending association installs machines to dispense safety supplies in response to coronavirus pandemic

April 13, 2020

Residents of Warsaw and Karkow in Poland can buy face masks, gloves and sanitizers from vending machines to allow Poles to comply with a law requiring them to cover their nose and mouth in public places, according to a report in The New York Times.

Aleksander Wasik, the head of the Polish Vending Association, which represents vending machine manufacturers and distributors, oversaw the initiative.

The association said several hundred more machines could be installed in the next two weeks.

The masks on sale in the vending machines cost 8.8 zlotys ($2.11) apiece.
