Pokemon teams with tea provider on disaster response vending in Japan

Pokemon is teaming with Ito En Co., a tea provider, to develop disaster response vending machines to be placed in seven prefectures around Japan, according to a nintendowire.com report.

Each machine will feature a Pokémon character that fits best with the prefecture it resides in, based on the culture, weather or geography.

The seven Pokémon characters to be used are Lapras, Geodude, Alolan Vulpix, Slowpoke, Sandshrew, Chansey and Exeggutor.

The machines are designed to raise awareness for disaster preparedness and dispense free beverages in the event of a natural disaster.
