PlayAndWin, TrackPower call off merger

LAS VEGAS - TrackPower Inc. and PlayandWin Inc. will not complete a merger agreement signed in December, though the two companies still plan to work together in building a network of kiosks at horseracing tracks and off-track betting parlors.

TrackPower is planning to launch an interactive video and information service for horseracing that will deliver information, cash, advertising and other applications through kiosks. PlayandWin has developed Racingo, a proprietary Internet wagering concept. PlayandWin hopes to parlay its relationships in the pari-mutuel industry so that its game will be available to racetrack patrons.

Racingo combines aspects of the game of bingo with horseracing results in a game designed to be played online.
