Pizza Hut in Israel tests robotic restaurant

A Pizza Hut in an Israeli mall has a robotic restaurant using technology from Hyper Food Robotics, according to a New York Tech Media report.

Consumers order at kiosks outside the restaurant or use the Pizza Hut app. A server takes the pizza from a "cubbie" and brings it to the customer.

A new model will be more automated, including a vending machine.

Udi Shamai, CEO of Hyper Food Robotics, is the owner of Pizza Hut Israel, according to the Hyper Food Robotics website.

Hyper Food Robotics builds "fully autonomous, robotic fast-food stores within a boxed unit," according to the website.
