PERTH, Australia - David Price has stepped down as chairman of Australian kiosk developer pieNetworks Ltd. after three years at the helm, and has been replaced by Peter Gunzburg.
In a short statement released by pieNetworks on July 30, the company said it, "wishes to acknowledge the considerable contribution that Mr. Price has made to the development and growth of the company." The release gave no explanation for Price's departure.
Gunzburg is a former managing director of the Perth division of brokerage house CIBC World Markets. He was named to pieNetworks' board of directors on April 29.
Price joined the company in 1999 as chairman and a non-executive director. Based in Perth, pieNetworks deploys Internet and financial kiosks in Australia and the UK.
