PhotoChannel providing online route to PictureStation kiosks

VANCOUVER -- PhotoChannel Networks Inc. has partnered with Sony of Canada to use Sony's PictureStation kiosks with its online photo system. Users will be able to access their photos online and request prints on demand, according to a company news release.

In future PhotoChannel versions, users will be able to send orders to PictureStation kiosks remotely for pick-up in store and transfer images from their digital camera to an online account for archiving.

PhotoChannel provides digital imaging technology to photofinishing retailers, photo processing labs, image content owners and other services. More than 700 retail locations accept print orders from the PhotoChannel system, according to the release.
