Phone charging kiosks keep concert attendees charged

May 12, 2016

Phone-charging kiosk company ChargeItSpot recently expanded its partnership with mall owner Preit to deliver its kiosk solution to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts music festival. Preit is a sponsor of the music festival and will feature its brand on the kiosk’s external wrap, its digital touchscreen, and through text messaging to users who charge their phone during the concert, according to a press release.

At the event, ChargeItSpot will deploy six kiosks, each with eight charging lockers. "Ensuring concert goers have an unforgettable experience at the Mann continues to be our top priority and we are pleased to partner with Preit and ChargeItSpot to bring this new service to customers," said Catherine M. Cahill, president and CEO of the Mann. "For many, the concert-going experience is enhanced by the use of smartphones to capture and share their experience. We believe allowing our patrons to be 'powered-up' will be a valued and appreciated amenity."

"As a company with strong roots in the Philadelphia region, it just made sense for Preit to sponsor the Mann, the city's favorite outdoor music venue," said Bil Ingraham, vice president of property and partnership marketing at Preit. "We are extending this popular free phone charging amenity found in our local malls to the entrance plaza at the Mann, [so that] concertgoers can stay connected by keeping their phones powered throughout every performance, allowing them to share their experience via social media."
