The Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) says it plans to more than double the number of its multi-space self-service parking kiosks over the next two months, according to Philadelphia's KYW News Radio 1060.
A PPA spokeswoman told the radio station that a recent software upgrade has upped the kiosks' reliability to 97-98 percent, after causing a spate of problems, and the agency plans to roll out about 600 kiosks in the next two months, up from about 440, at a clip of about 12 to 15 machines a day.
